GAMBÍN and Cox Town Council, working together for the progress of the municipality
  • 15 December 2021

Involvement with the territory in which its business activity is carried out, as well as collaboration and close relations with the social fabric, has been a priority for Grupo GAMBÍN since its beginnings more than 60 years ago.

For this reason, the company never ceases to foster its institutional relations,  focusing on the implementation of actions and the search for new formulas that contribute to the development of the Vega Baja area in general and the town of Cox in particular.

One of the key elements of the strategy of continuous improvement that has positioned GAMBÍN as a business benchmark in Cox is to actively listen to all the different stakeholders in order to work together in the interests of productive, social and environmental efficiency. And in doing so, the openness of its facilities plays a key role.

For this reason, the company's management had the honour of receiving a representation of the town council of Cox as part of their regular round of visits to the many companies in the municipality. Antonio José Bernabeu Santo, Mayor of the town; Ramón Pertusa Pamies, Councillor for Local Development; and Andrés Francisco Sáez Ramón, Councillor for Local Development, were able to see at first hand the facilities at GAMBÍN and the different production processes that are carried out there: from the planning and reception of the fruit to its treatment, storage, packing and preparation for dispatch to the most varied countries in the world.

During the meeting with the management team of Grupo GAMBÍN, led by its director Pepe Gambín, focus was placed on the security measures implemented during the pandemic, for which GAMBÍN has been a reference in the sector for the last two years. They also discussed new approaches to initiatives aimed at public-private collaboration in the field of vocational training and access to employment, among many other topics.
